A dose of interior design inspiration:
This living room by designer Gideon Mendelson feels big in style and bold in color. Yet, if you take a moment to examine the elements, the room is really quite spare and simple. The color palette is limited – black, white, beige, with a calm blue backdrop and pops of chartreuse. Colors weave from one element to the next. Geometry takes center stage – squares, cylinders, circles – posing a modern contrast against traditional architectural details. Perhaps most important is the weight placed on a few select accessories and overscale (gorgeous!) artwork. Mendelson has proven that a space can feel full and complete without added clutter.
